We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment, especially for new members! Healthy debates are natural but biting tones of voice only make things worse for everyone. Kindness wins every time...say it with kindness! :)
Help Each Other Out
We ALL started our Old House journey from somewhere. Remember that some members may be novice, while others may be Pros. Offer feedback and helpful insight whenever possible and remember to be Kind!
Don't Spam. Don't Harass.
You know if you are hurting the Community.
We expect you to be a respectful participant in our Community. You may not attack someone or post something inappropriate, or be rude and aggressive towards other members of the Community! This includes anything that disrupts this space for everyone. Give more than you take from the group - so spam, irrelevant links, inappropiate/unwanted advances, or bullying aren't allowed. Respect everyone's privacy.
Self-Promotion/Soliciting Business [excludes Sponsors and Premium Business subscriptions].
All Members are encouraged to contribute and to share content. Self Promotion: Old House Hub's mission - to EXCEL where traditional social media platforms have continually FAILED us: connect Old House lovers/restorers/enthusiasts to quality info, resources, tools and trades WITHOUT algorithms, limiting post reach, and creepy AI data collection. Self-promotion and blogs are allowed, provided they are on topic & do not directly solicit or sale. Soliciting Business: SPONSERS and Premium Business members can promote their business - either publicly in the group or through private messages. The community admins and moderators reserve the right to delete any posts that solicit business and will review to remove the partner group who solicit business publicly or in DMs.

This is a place for Community builders like you. Please stay on subject. The subject is Old House repair, renovation, rehabilitation, and restoration. Contentious topics should be avioded like Government, Religion, and Politics. Everything "Old Houses" is fair game!
Summary
There is no place for illegal or profane content in our Community. We also do not allow spamming or intimidating behavior towards other members of the Old House Hub or My Old House Fix Community.
Member accounts might be shut down without warning for posting threatening or harrassing messages as well!
There are five ways you can make sure your post doesn't break these rules:
Read through them carefully before posting anything - so politics, religion, inappropiate gender references, etc. If in doubt, just say it nicely.
Don't do anything illegal
Don't threaten, harass, or bully anyone
Check if there's another thread associated with what it relates too
Make sure personal information has not been shared
