I am installing new "old window units" (casing, frame, weights and all) in an existing opening of a wood sided house. I have been told that I need to flash the opening. All the videos out there are of new windows or when there is no siding on the house. I have a 1" reveal in which to apply my flashing. Are there any videos of this being done on a old house out there? Am I over thinking this? How have others dealt with this?
