I am looking for recommendations for turning a claw foot tub into a shower as well... we have checked out what is available on Amazon..need the round curtain rod..hand held and tall shower etc..want something that Will not fall down and is sturdy. Is there a brand or a website that specialized in these items that you can share? Starting from scratch and can’t afford a full BR make over right now ...thanks for your expertise and help!

  • Tess Leiker Hi carol. I just installed a d ring shower curtain rod in polished brass, it was from lowes. Vintage tub and bath doesn’t carry the polished brass any more, and they are sooo expensive. It’s funny there were reviews on lowes that said how hard it was to put it together, yet i did it by myself with a little effort. Ive looked for one for years, the prices are so expensive everywhere. The most important part is when you order the rod, make sure that the shower handle bracket is the same size for that rod. They aren’t all the same size. Good luck. If you want pictures, just ask.

  • Larry Sanderson Check the ring circumstance as a heads up on the shower curtain(s) you're going to need.

  • Chloe JoyLynn Morgan @Jacob should explain what we ended up doing!

    • Jacob Brian Morgan @Chloe so we had a weird situation with an angled wall. If you have a straight walk search for a faucet for your tub and an “add a shower” kit (we got one from Menards). In includes the hard lines and shower head for tub faucets. We ended up building our own with galvanized pipe and assorted shower pieces to make our hard line.
