Installed this antique/vintage door in our pantry. It was missing hardware.
Even though we’re using it internally, I think it would be easier to install external
Hardware since that is how it’s drilled. Anyone
have a good source?
And yes, it needs glass.....

Laura Kokesh I would google architectural salvage companies around you or stop in a couple of antique stores. Many carry odds and ends old hardware. Also flea markets,....beautiful door by the way
Deb Caddell Frosted glass or opaque would be good . You could just use regular glass and get a frosting kit and do it yourself. I'd use old knobs, you can always fill in the hole for the night lock
Diana Gardner Mcconnell That is a beautiful door!
Jennie TW Author @Diana Gardner Mcconnell thanks! It’ll take some work but I’m excited about it!
Laura Hoskin Historic houseparts is always my go too.
Christine Crockett Materials Unlimited in Ypsilanti, Michigan is a great resource. We restored several old doors with their help.
Jason Wood BTW - where is the door from? I would love a door like that!
Jennie TW Author @Jason Wood antiquities warehouse in AZ. They ship!
Jason Wood Do mercury glass. There are techniques online to make your own with silver paint and water.
Jennie TW Author @Jason Wood I I was just thinking that!! I know sometimes it’s a bad word on boards like this, but I did see this done on fixer upper..:
Merry Hinkle Seipel That is beautiful! What a find. Thanks for sharing!
Stacey Gregory I installed an exterior door for our pantry, too. However, I used an interior handle due to space concerns. It has the original stained glass, but I did replace the glass in our front door with glass made for shower walls and doors. I used a rain pattern for privacy and it's tempered in case it gets broken it won't cause injury. It's very affordable and easy to install.
Kay Smith Frosted glass would look nice. Love the door inside. You can enjoy it more.
Larry Sanderson Van Dykes and Signature Hardware are two other sites to check. My doors are mostly mortise door hardware, which is a bit different. Good luck.
Sammy Deacon What about some sort of metal with a design in it
